Three Mile Hill was closed to traffic for part of yesterday after a van crashed off the road.
The trapped driver was able to phone emergency services.
A police spokeswoman said the van crashed on an S-bend about 10.15am.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the driver, who sustained "minor to moderate injuries".
