Dunedin City Council community pools team leader Matt Austin said the council’s community pools at St Clair, Port Chalmers and Mosgiel were hosting summer pool parties to raise awareness of the facilities.
‘‘They are great facilities but at times a wee bit underutilised,’’ he said. On Saturday, dozens of children were treated to games, a barbecue and a visit from the Highlanders at the pool party. The next one was scheduled in January at the Mosgiel Pool.
