Day all about ‘three pillars’ of RSA

Royal New Zealand Navy Chief Petty Officer Tina Scadden was on duty selling Anzac poppies in George St yesterday.

CPO Scadden said many people bought poppies and shared stories with her of family members’ involvement in the armed forces.

Returned and Services Association (RSA) Dunedin president Lox Kellas said the day was all about the "three pillars" of the RSA — remembrance of those who fell and did not return, support for veterans struggling mentally or in other aspects of life and advocacy for employment for veterans.
