Police were called after reports of yelling and aggressive behaviour at the University of Otago last night.
A police media spokeswoman said there had been reports of two men "acting aggressively" on the university grounds on Cumberland St, shortly before 9pm.
A 24-year-old man was given a pre-charge warning for assault.
