Learner driver charged after Leviathan crash

A woman is facing charges after crashing into the Leviathan Hotel in Dunedin last night.

Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the woman crashed into a wall at the Leviathan in Cumberland St at 9pm after she lost control due to speeding with a space saver tyre.

The woman has a learner licence and blew an excess breath alcohol of 357mcg, he said.

She received an infringement notice for breaching the terms of her licence and faces drink-driving charges.
