A 36-year-old man has appeared in court on charges relating to allegedly threatening and attacking a busker.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said about 6.25pm on Wednesday a busker who was performing in Albion Lane reported to police that a man had been threatening him.
The man had threatened the busker, followed him and eventually kicked him twice in the shoulder, the busker reported.
Snr Sgt Bond said he was unsure how or why the incident occurred.
The man appeared in Dunedin District Court yesterday charged with common assault and threatening behaviour.
He was also facing another unrelated charge of threatening behaviour.
He was remanded on bail on all charges, and was scheduled to reappear in court next month.
