One lane of the Southern Motorway was blocked this afternoon while emergency services responded to a nose-to-tail crash.
A police spokesman said they were called to a report of the two-vehicle crash at 2.10pm blocking State Highway 1, near the Lookout Point overbridge.
One of the vehicles involved was a seven-seater van and there were no reports of injuries, the spokesman said.
It is understood the road is now open.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said a fire crew also attended but no-one was trapped in the vehicles.
