Now a rugby-mad English couple have fallen in love for a third time - this time with New Zealand - while embarking on the ultimate Rugby World Cup honeymoon.
Alex and Emma-Louise Box, from Folkestone, England, have been together for nine years, but only tied the knot three weeks ago.
For the self-confessed rugby "fanatics", there was only one place to hold the ceremony - Twickenham, the home of English rugby.
Mrs Box (33) said she used the England changing room to slip into her wedding dress, and wedding photos were taken standing in the centre of the hallowed turf.
Fast-forward three weeks, and the newlyweds are part-way through their ultimate honeymoon - travelling the length of New Zealand while supporting their England team during the Rugby World Cup.
They were spotted parading through Dunedin's Octagon yesterday, dressed to the nines amid a sea of English jerseys, and clutching match tickets to their team's clash with Georgia.
Mr Box (33), who recently resumed playing club rugby for Folkestone, at Mrs Box's insistence, said a honeymoon stacked full of live rugby in New Zealand was the trip of a lifetime for both of them.
He was also aware he could quite possibly have found many New Zealand males' perfect woman.
"You have no idea. We don't watch soppy movies. Emma drinks beer.
"She's amazing."
Their trip was four years in the planning and included attending every England pool game, except a possible semifinal clash.
They had even purchased tickets to both possible quarterfinals their team could feature in, depending on results, as well as the grand final at Auckland's Eden Park on October 23 - just in case.
They also planned to see "as much as possible" of New Zealand between matches, with Milford Sound the next stop.
Mrs Box said they had already fallen in love with the country and its people.
"It's absolutely a dream come true. It's brilliant. It's just great to be here and see the culture and meet the people.
"Everyone is so nice."
