An 18-year-old who was stopped and allegedly found to have seven passengers in his car in Dunedin early on Saturday will be walking to court this week.
Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said the male driver was stopped in Harbour Tce just after midnight.
He had a breath-alcohol level of 560mcg, was disqualified from driving and had his car impounded.
He will appear in the Dunedin District Court later this week.
• A 34-year-old Dunedin man was arrested for refusing to give a blood sample after having left a tavern in Green Island on Saturday morning and then tried to drive home.
His licence was suspended for 28 days and he will appear in the Dunedin District Court later this week.
• A 36-year-old caught unlawfully interfering with a vehicle will appear in court this week.
Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said the man was found in Manor Pl at 3pm on Sunday.
He was charged with unlawfully interfering with a motor vehicle.
• Dunedin police are seeking two youths after a group of four, aged about 16, were found in the Bayfield Bowling Club on Saturday morning.
The group had entered the club, were drinking, and had thrown metal discs which damaged the green, Snr Sgt Brown said.
The group fled the premises.
Two had since been spoken to.
The others were being sought.
