A car crashed into an overbridge on George St, Dunedin, this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said it was called to reports of a vehicle hitting the Pine Hill overbridge, at 12.10pm.
The single occupant of the vehicle received medical treatment at the scene.
An elderly person, who was conscious, was later seen being loaded into a St John ambulance.
It did not appear any other vehicles were involved.
The road was not blocked, but the vehicle needed to be towed, she said.
