At stake will be the titles of Knobbliest Knees, Hairiest Brute, and Mr Puniverse, on the way to the awarding of the Brutey of Blueskin Bay crown.
Local businesses were encouraged to enter a team. The Moponui Studio Homes team has prepared, with tutus, head-dresses, and fairy wings, to take on all-comers.
The Brutey of Blueskin Bay event is set to be a comic highlight of the annual Blueskin A&P Society show day, at Bland Park, Waitati, from 10am to 4pm today.
There will be a fruit and vegetable contest, children's entertainment, pony rides, pets, plus assorted displays.
The show will involve businesses, councils, Waikouaiti Coast Community Board, and local schools.
