Bridge blocked after crash

Traffic was delayed after a van hit a street light on an overbridge in central Dunedin yesterday, a police spokeswoman said.

Police were called to the crash on the Jetty St overbridge about 4.30pm, she said.

The access to the overbridge was blocked by police as emergency services attended the incident, delaying traffic on State Highway 1, the spokeswoman said.

A St John spokesman said two ambulance were deployed and three people were treated at the scene.
