Blunting Damocles’ sword

A contractor for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi clears loose rocks above State Highway 88, Ravensbourne, yesterday.

The work was needed after Dunedin and the wider region was soaked by sustained rain last week.

This had undermined the rock face at Ravensbourne.

Traffic was allowed through intermittently during the operation.
