Nude Blacks management have confirmed the Dunedin-based team will shed their clothes once more in a game billed as the unofficial curtain-raiser to the All Blacks v Fiji test-match as Carisbrook.
Organiser Ralph Davies, of the aptly named Bottom Bus, confirmed the team - which has outings before Dunedin rugby tests - would battle the fully clothed Fijian invitational team from 12.30pm.
Out of respect for the Fijian culture, the visitors in the seven-aside contest would not be naked, he said.
"It is celebrating what makes Dunedin unique."
A freelance television reporter was flying from Melbourne to record a piece on the game for German television, with the Nude Blacks set to unveil their World Cup plans for the Rugby World Cup in the coming weeks.
He was also planning a "cheeky call" to All Black management about an appearance at the game, and was pleased to confirm Julie "aka `That blind woman"' Woods return as referee after taking it up in 2004 following a suggestion by All Black great Colin Meads.
The Dunedin woman said she enjoyed her first experience, and was delighted to don her boots and test her whistle once again.
The self-confessed rugby fan, who will be attending World Cup matches at Forsyth Barr Stadium, said she sometimes got annoyed at games when she heard comments directed at referees about their lack of vision.
"I think it is more disparaging against the ref' rather than blind people," she said.
She will be guided around Logan Park and be given hints when to blow her whistle. She has red, yellow, and pink cards in braille. The infringing player would have to buy her a bottle of chardonnay.
