More than a dozen Dunedin businesses will be represented at the Thursday showcase, organised by Tourism Dunedin.
The regional tourism organisation also invited operators from Southland, Clutha and Waitaki to attend, as they were part of an international marketing alliance with Tourism Dunedin, chief executive Hamish Saxton said.
The trade day would comprise 24 booths, of which just over half would be manned by Dunedin tourism operators.
It was a chance for them to discuss with inbound travel representatives the latest attractions, deals and rates for the coming seasons.
''It is one of the most important business-to-business events for our tourism operators.
"They will meet with representatives from wholesale and inbound travel companies as well as some retail businesses such as travel agents and information centres,'' Mr Saxton said.
From there, inbound travel professionals would create itineraries and package deals for visitors, comprising accommodation and attractions in Dunedin and adjoining areas, he said.
''Our operators ought to get lots of business from the trade day. For some, it's the best way for them to arrange their annual marketing.''
