An activist who scaled a 20m-high silo to protest a Dunedin pig factory farm has been arrested by police.
Carl Scott, of Dunedin Animal Rights Collective (Darc), issued a media statement this morning on his protest.
Earlier this morning he had scaled the tower at Bloems farm on Highcliff Rd on Otago Peninsula, blocking off the only access ladder.
His had with him a large banner, 'Vote to Stop Factory Farming'.
While he originally planned to occupy the tower until dusk, he was arrested by police this morning.
