Police are searching for a 44-year-old man who allegedly punched another man in the face in a central city supermarket carpark yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said the incident happened at Coundown Dunedin Central about 5.30pm.
The two men knew each other and police were making inquiries to locate the alleged assailant, he said.
