Alert after thefts

Electronics and medication were stolen from houses in Mornington between 8.30am and 4pm on Monday.

Senior Sergeant Ben Butterfield, of Dunedin, said an iPad, an Xbox One and eight Xbox games were stolen from a house in Porteous St.

Medication was stolen from a house in Meadow St.

The thefts could be linked, he said.

Residents in the greater Mornington area should report any suspicious behaviour to police.

-Electronics were stolen from unlocked student flats in North Dunedin on Saturday.

A silver MacBook Pro was stolen from a flat in North Rd and a PlayStation 4 and games were stolen from a Castle St flat.

The burglaries were reported to police on Monday.

People should lock their houses and if items were stolen it should be reported to the police immediately.
