NZCAF Otago event manager Kerry Hockley said about 170 people competed in the annual two-day event, hoping to secure their spot at the nationals, which would be held in Wellington next month.
Competitors performed both individual and team routines, across "a lot" of categories.
"It went really well," she said.
"Lots of medals were won and lots of trophies were given out — everyone seemed to be very happy with the outcome."
Among the competitors was Kylie Lyders (24), of Dunedin, who has qualified for the world championships.
