4WD bushed after collision

Two people were left with only minor injuries after the 4WD they were in crashed down a bank aftercolliding with a container truck just before the Mosgiel SH1 on-ramp yesterday morning.

A police spokesman said it appeared the 4WD was turning on to the on-ramp to go north on to the Southern Motorway and at the same time the truck was heading in the same direction. The two vehicles  collided, pushing the 4WD off the left hand side of the road and down a 4m bank.

The on-ramp was closed for a short time. A St John spokesman said two patients were transferred by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital with minor injuries.
