The 10km run started at Kettle Park and finished at Forsyth Barr Stadium, while the 4km started and finished at the stadium, heading up and back the Ravensbourne shared cycle and pathway.
Sport Otago events co-ordinator Isaac Smith said about 1200 people took part.
"We had great weather and everyone seemed to have a really good time along the course.
"There was a great feeling at the finish area."
Mr Smith said it was "great" to see everyone from students to families and the elderly joining in and getting active.
