The 2015 Otago University Students' Association Orientation Week was announced at 12.30pm today and featured musical acts from around the globe and for the second year running a live filming of New Zealand comedy show 7 Days.
Like previous years, the Dunedin public and not just students, were invited to all the main events.
The week is being head-lined by Australian synth-pop duo Empire of the Sun, playing at Forsyth Barr Stadium on February 19, which had a "reputation for having one of the most dynamic and captivating live shows in the business''.
Last year they played at some of the world's largest festivals including Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and The Governors Ball.
Breakout acts Kiesza and Sigma, both of which are coming off number one singles around the globe last year, are playing at the Orientation Afterparty at the stadium on March 5.
The concert would be Canadian solo artist Kiesza's premier performance in New Zealand after hitting the charts globally last year with her hit Hideaway.
English drum and bass act Sigma are coming off two smash-hit singles in 2014, Nobody to Love , which made number one in Britain and New Zealand, and Changing feat Paloma Faith.
Other acts included Australian reggae-pop band Sticky Fingers and New Zealand hip-hop artist David Dallas and the Daylight Robbery.
OUSA President Paul Hunt said it was "incredibly excited'' about this year's line-up.
"There's going to be reggae, pop, electronica, drum and bass, hip-hop, we've really got something for everyone.''
Students could buy a "Super Pass'' for $199 (plus service fees), which gave access to all events, which OUSA expected to sell out for a fourth consecutive year.
For the first time, the Super Pass would also include a Zooperpass giving access to the first five Highlanders games of the year.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer five free Highlanders game tickets with the Super Pass this year,'' he said.
For those just after the three main music events, students could pick up a ``Music Pass'' for $125 (plus service fees). The pass was also available for non-students for $145.
Tickets went on sale on January 22 and were available at OUSA's main office and online at www.otagoori.co.nz.
