Mrs Manning (82) said she had no idea why they had grown so large, as there was no secret formula or fertiliser.
"They’re just so freaky."
She had never been a gardener in her younger years, as her late husband Peter liked to take care of it.
Since then she had taken up the hobby, mainly by just buying whatever was on sale.
The bulbs were "pretty motley" when she tossed them into the soil.
"I didn’t even really know how to plant them."
She now loved to garden and it reminded her of her late husband.
"He wouldn’t believe I’ve grown these. I’m just so proud."
