How would you describe your style? I probably tend to go for classics with a green tinge by buying products that are made in New Zealand, if possible.
Has it evolved over the years? Yes, I suppose it has.
Let me just say the words white trash, although it was many, many years ago, when I was about 18 or 19.
Describe your wardrobe? Classic styles that fit my decreasing figure (she has been losing weight recently), so if it gets a bit bigger it will still look OK.
I am more a shorts, jackets and trousers person.
Whose style do you like or look up to? My daughter Eve. She is tall and has an absolutely gorgeous model figure, she looks great in anything, but I'm pleased she has found her own style, which has a particular edge about it.
Who are your current favourite designers? I like the store Kooky, which stocks all New Zealand designers, as well as Scarlet and Lisa Law from French Floozie.
What is your favourite item of clothing? I have got an interesting range of jackets, but I have a cool, green denim jacket from Kooky, which has really interesting detail which makes it more that classic style which I like.
Shoes - I bought a pair of Kumfs earlier this year which have a bit of a heel. And although they are classic black they have an interesting cut-out bit on the heel which makes them more funky.
I have trouble finding shoes which are comfortable for my feet.
Accessory - it was my 50th birthday recently and my husband bought me a handbag made by two New Zealand women.
It is made from deerskin and is dark brown colour. It has all the extras, including a pocket for your lippy, a mirror, a place for cards.
What was the last item of clothing you bought? Gym gear.
What has been your best fashion bargain? A suit I bought about 20 years ago which I can still wear. I bought it in Auckland.
It is a bolero-style jacket and trousers in a really deep rust colour.
What has been your biggest fashion mistake? Oh, how many are there? It would have to be shoes.
I always seem to buy the wrong type of shoes, I can't wear towering heels anymore.
A fashion tip? Get yourself a really good male partner and take him when you go shopping. Someone who lets you be a little bit outrageous and suggests things you wouldn't think of yourself.
Hands off my husband though!
A beauty tip? Cleanse and moisturise.
What would you buy if money was not an option? More gym gear and probably better, more comfortable shoes. I would probably even get handcrafted shoes for my poor old feet.
