THE BEST OF THE EAGLES SOARS INTO ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL

Following their sellout success with The Best of Pink Floyd last year, the Rock Tenors are set to return to St Paul’s Cathedral for their next concert instalment– The Best of the Eagles.

St Paul’s Cathedral captivated audiences during last year’s concert experience and will once again provide a breathtaking backdrop, with the renowned St Paul’s Cathedral Choir lending full vocal support to the five powerhouse Rock Tenors: Steve Jones, Luke Butson, Greg MacLeod, James Adams, and Ben Hayward.

Backed by a stellar 5-piece band featuring Michael Grant (keys), Sam Healey (bass), Jack McRae (drums), Che Long (guitar), and Joseph Balfe (guitar).

Musical director and choir master Michael Grant shares, “Doug has been very clear that he wants us to remain musically authentic to the Eagles’ songbook, while also allowing the Rock Tenors' distinctive vocal quality to add a commanding dynamic to the overall experience. Having a 12-piece choir in the mix will only make the experience more exciting and captivating.”

The Rock Tenors have enjoyed success over the last three years with three sell-out seasons in Dunedin, a 10 venue South Island tour in 2023 and a 24-venue national tour in the planning for 2026.

Concertgoers can expect the same world-class production values that have become a hallmark of the Rock Tenors, while also experiencing the stunning acoustics and ambiance of this historic venue.

Rock Tenors – The Best of the Eagles will take place over three nights – 17, 18, and 19 July 2025 and producer Doug Kamo says, “after a lot of discussion about what band we cover next, we landed on the Eagles largely due to their incredible musicianship, outstanding ‘hit after hit’ song book and rich vocal harmonies that once in the hands of the St Pauls Cathedral choir – will be a sound to behold”.

Tickets go on sale at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 9 April.
