FOR over a century, Columba College has been preparing its students to serve, contribute, and succeed, wherever their path may take them. Their aim is to offer opportunities for personal development which equip students to flourish in the world beyond school and to instil in every student a love of learning and an understanding that education matters. They set high standards for themselves and encourage students to achieve their personal best.
Columba College is a state-integrated special character school, based on the Presbyterian faith. Respect for others, courtesy and consideration, independence, self-discipline and responsibility are fostered, enabling Columba College to create a caring supportive environment, where hard work is encouraged and achievement praised.
Students are taught to think critically and creatively, to respond generously and compassionately, and to live by values that have stood the test of time. The family atmosphere of the school and small class sizes do much to create a strong sense of belonging and community, as well as build meaningful relationships between staff and students, and school and home.
Columba College offers coeducational opportunities for students in Years 0-6 in the junior school, but focuses on single-sex girls’ education from Years 7-13. Boarding is also available from Year 7 for girls.
At the open day on July 29 from 10am to 2pm, the whole school will be on display. They warmly invite you to come and experience the Columba College difference.
