If you have a home improvement project in mind, pop in to Timeless Flooring, Bathrooms and Trade for inspiration.
‘‘Bring along your measurements or plans, colour swatches and inspiration images and have a free in-store consult with one of our design team,’’ owners Ben and Elise Johnston said.
Timeless, a locally owned and operated business, is a one-stop shop for all flooring and bathroom needs. It has been engaging with customers from Dunedin and the wider Otago and Southland regions from its Princes St premises for more than 32 years.
‘‘We pride ourselves on having a great team with friendly and knowledgeable staff,’’ the Johnstons said.
They have taken over from Ben’s father Barry, who launched Timeless Tiles at the site opposite Dunedin’s Oval sports ground in 1993.
Ben joined the team and expanded its range of products for tradies. In 2024 Barry and his partner Catherine handed over the reins to the younger generation.
Ben has already accumulated 15 years of experience in the flooring industry. He has helped tradies with top-quality products and advice, problem-solving, writing specifications, and co-ordinating waterproofing workshops.
Elise adds a passion for good design and an in-depth knowledge of tiles as a ceramic artist for the past 15 years. Her experience running her own business is invaluable at Timeless.
Lachlan Pearson runs the Trade shop with Ben. They visit sites and customers from Oamaru to Invercargill, Central Otago and the Maniototo.
Barry helps out at busy times and enjoys catching up with the many regular customers he has been serving for 30 years.
In the Showroom, Blaize Gerrard, Peter Smyth, and Elise are the design team, and Karen O’Neill is the accounts manager.
In her 12 years at Timeless, Blaize has accumulated a long list of happy clients and completed projects.
Peter is renowned for his knack of building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
‘‘We work closely with a wide range of people including individuals renovating or building their own homes, tradies and tilers, renovation and property maintenance companies, property developers and councils,’’ the Johnstons said.
As an independent business, Timeless can choose its tiles from a network of New Zealand and international suppliers to ‘‘curate a beautiful selection of products inspired by both our stunning local environments and worldwide trends’’.
New showroom displays will present colours and trends making a splash this season.
