Judge for the awards was Otago Polytechnic School of Art head Prof Leonie Schmidt.
Second prize went to Jasmine Middlebrook for her oil painting One for You, Two for Me, while Anne Smart took third prize with another oil, Domestic Harmony.
A merit prize was claimed by Sandra Duncan for her pencil work Edward - Watching Time Go By.
Mayor's choice was another work in pencil, Geoff Williams' Mana Wahine.
The jewellers' prize went to Victoria McIntosh for Patty Tin Brooches.
Jewellery judge was Dunedin Public Art Gallery director Elizabeth Caldwell.
The exhibition runs at the Dunedin Railway Station gallery until November 28.
