Scott is yet to disclose the purchase price of the manufacturer, which it said has historical revenues ranging from $US4.5 million ($NZ6.4 million) to $US11 million ($NZ15.6 million), and will immediately contribute to Scott’s profit line.
Transbotics’ 30 staff, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, will transfer to work for Scott, chairman Stuart McLauchlan said in a statement on Friday.
Early this year Scott bought Belgian warehouse automation company Alvey for $NZ20.3 million cash. The 36-year-old Transbotics is in the top 10 manufacturers of automated, unmanned, guided vehicles in the US.
