At least one practitioner with experience in still and video photography has recently introduced a new service called "mediography" - a combination of media. It uses new technology, merges photography and videography into one, and adds creative editing skills.

This means one photographic firm can cover both photographic genres.

Couples can get all of the presentations (including albums) traditionally available from both professionals, from one source. The chances of "missing the action" are considerably reduced because stills can come from video as well as still photography using specialised software.
