VINTAGE GLAMOUR: This is a popular choice for couples, who can add their own variations to the theme. Ideal for all seasons, vintage floral looks can be created all year round with flowers and foliage representing the seasons.

FRENCH TRAILING BOUQUETS: These breathe informality and romance, the bridesmaids having smaller round posies of the same flowers. Something a little more contemporary sees each bridesmaid having a different posy. For example one has hydrangeas, one roses and one lilies. The buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen could also reflect this trend.

BIG, BLOWSY BOUQUETS: These comprise one or two floral varieties en masse, such as hydrangeas or peonies, without foliage.

They can be grand bouquets that mix dahlias, hydrangeas, lisianthus or avalanche roses; or they can be simple chic bouquets comprising calla lilies and avalanche roses, also without additional foliage.

Popular varieties today include dahlias, the "peonies of summer" that appeal to those brides who want peonies but cannot have them because of their short season (November and December).

Another variety that has enjoyed huge popularity in the United States and Europe are hydrangeas - big, blowsy and gorgeous!

Yet another ideal choice are phalaenopsis orchids - timeless, elegant and perfect with diamond-white dresses. They also photograph well.
