The youngsters were the winners of a children’s colouring/drawing competition, held in conjunction with children’s art workshops and sponsored by the Otago Art Society and Otago Peninsula Artists Group.
Entrants had to colour in the home of the society, Dunedin Railway Station, and draw themselves outside the building.
The winners were Austin Kupenga and Ava Longmore (age7and under); Paige Frith and Miriam Hudson (age 8-10 years); and Gemma Scott and Zoe Hughes (age 11-13 years), whoreceived prizes presented byOpenArts chairman Roger Weston and society council member Anne Baldock.
"We were delighted with the response, with 50 entries for the competition, and lots of wonderful ideas from the children," Baldock said.
Despite the railway station being shrouded in wrapping while work is carried out, the Otago Art Society galleries remain open to all.
