Insight ahead of arts festival

OAR FM’s weekday OARsome Morning Show is presenting interviews with national and international artists and directors in the lead-up to this year’s Dunedin Arts Festival.

The twice-weekly interviews, hosted by Jeff Harford, offer insight into a range of works set to feature at this year’s festival, to be held from October 12-24.

The interviews can be heard on Fridays and Mondays at 8.10am, through to September 26, or via podcast from the station’s website.

Guests include acclaimed New Zealand musicians Don McGlashan and Shayne P Carter, Australia-based drummer Rachel Trainor from David Bowie circus-rock tribute Rebel, and physical-comedy performer Thom Monckton.

Other regular features include a Monday digest presented by Livingwell Disability Resource Centre, a fortnightly Wednesday spot with Dunedin City of Literature, Thursday chats with Community Law Otago and The Star, and Friday morning’s Volunteer South Hotspot.

Te Whatu Ora Health NZ, the Otago Regional Council and the Wildlife Hospital Dunedin also provide monthly interviews.

The OARsome Morning Show airs weekdays from 8am to 9.30am on 105.4FM and 1575AM, with feature interview podcasts available from oar.org.nz, Google podcasts and Apple podcasts.
