A season of peace will be marked in Dunedin next month with activities including a garden visit and wreath-making.
On Friday, November 11, the Honeystone St garden of Sue and Alastair Yule will be open from 10am to 4pm. Then, at 7.30pm, Emeritus Prof Peter Matheson will give a lecture at Holy Name Church, Great King St, which will be followed by a hikoi to the Archibald Baxter Memorial where a short vigil will be held.
On Saturday, November 12, three activities will take place at Flagstaff Community Church in Centennial Ave.
They are: poetry with Tom Mepham (12.30pm-2pm), creative arts/journalling with Kat Taiaroa (1pm-3pm) and wreath-making with Sue Walthert (1.30pm-3.15pm).
The activities are supported with funding from the Presbyterian Synod of Otago and Southland and a koha will be taken, which will go to the Dunedin Night Shelter.
