New Zealand No 1 Marina Erakovic will have reason to be optimistic of advancing to the second round of the Wimbledon tennis championships after drawing a fellow qualifier in the opening round.
Erakovic faces Chinese Taipei's Kai-Chen Chang on Court 7 tomorrow, a player she beat in straight sets 6-3- 6-1 in their only previous meeting at Mildura, Australia in June 2008.
If the 23-year-old Aucklander, who has moved up one place in the world rankings to now sit at 144, gets past the 136th-ranked Chang she will more than likely face the 25th seed Daniela Hantuchova in the second round.
