Cosy Dell completed a clean sweep in the final tie of the first round of Dunedin premier men's tennis when it beat previously unbeaten McGlashan 5-1 on Saturday.
No 1 Nick Hornstein finished with an unblemished first round, and gave a clinic to former national junior 14 and under representative Harry James, winning 6-2, 6-2.
Hornstein was able to exert pressure with penetrating approaches and take advantage of any short balls to extract errors, although James contributed his share of unforced errors in an erratic display.
Alex Low was too powerful for Oliver Reid, also showing more court speed, to win 6-1, 6-1.
