Dunedin's top swimming trio has one last chance at Olympic qualification.
Caitlin Deans, Luan Grobbelaar and Erika Fairweather will all compete at the Hamilton Qualifying Meet this weekend.
The meeting begins today and runs until tomorrow evening.
For Deans and Grobbelaar it is a final chance to reach Tokyo.
Fairweather has already secured a spot at the Games, although will seek qualification in more races.
Deans will compete in the 1500m freestyle, a race in which she just missed qualification at the national championships last month.
Meanwhile Grobbelaar will race in both the 200m and 400m individual medleys.
Fairweather, who has already qualified in the 400m freestyle, will swim in the 100m and 200m freestyle races.
She was only 0.3sec off the qualifying mark in the 200m freestyle at the national championships.
Dunedin and New Zealand coach Lars Humer said the group had been training well since the championships.
It was looking to use local and domestic meetings to replicate a regular Olympic build-up.
That included this weekend, as well as next weekend’s Neptune Queen’s Birthday Meet at Moana Pool.
Humer was confident all three swimmers were capable of achieving the qualifying times.
