The All Blacks will face their oldest foe in their first match at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.
The New Zealand Rugby Union yesterday released its test venues for next year. Forsyth Barr Stadium will host the match between the All Blacks and the Springboks on September 15.
The match is part of the new four nations tournament, which has been titled the "Rugby Championship".
Dunedin Venues Management Ltd chief executive David Davies said it was excellent to get the Springboks and build on the momentum created by hosting four World Cup matches.
The past few tests in Dunedin had seen a scheme where residents south of the Waitaki River could buy tickets before the rest of New Zealand, and tests had sold out.
Mr Davies envisaged that scheme continuing.
"I take the attitude if it ain't broke then don't fix it."
Ticket prices are yet to be discussed with the rugby union.
With a lot more seats on the sideline, there was an opportunity to have more premium tickets, he said.
Carisbrook had a main stand of just over 3500 seats to sell at premium prices. Forsyth Barr Stadium has more than 15,000 seats along the sidelines.
