Trent Renata 4/10: Similar to Tony Ensor last week, did not get a lot of chances, but did not offer much with the ones he got.
Jayden Spence 6/10: Another who did not see much ball, but did alright with what he got. Made some tackles and was tidy on attack.
Michael Collins 4.5/10: Made quite a few tackles and had a couple of good runs too, but fell off a few tackles too, two of which led to Bay of Plenty tries.
Tei Walden 6/10: Solid on defence, made a few breaks and was reasonably tidy.
Fa'asiu Fuatai 6.5/10: Had his best game in a while. Tried to get into the game, coming into the line to get his hands on the ball and making a handful of good runs. Made a couple of mistakes too, including panicking after making a break which saw a try nearly blown, but on the whole was good.
Hayden Parker 6.5/10: Ran dangerously early on when the team was on the front foot. Became less prominent as the game wore on though and fell off a tackle in the lead up to the first try.
Nick Ealey 6/10: Passed well off the ground and threw a nice ball to put Aki Seiuli in for his try, but put in a couple of average kicks and did not really threaten around the fringes.
Charlie O'Connell 6.5/10: Was heavily involved on defence, making 16 tackles, which was easily the most for the Otago team. Lacked impact on attack, although was solid in what he did.
James Lentjes 6/10: Had a tough time getting into the game. Made some tackles and got one good breakdown steal.
TJ Ioane 4.5/10: Did not really fire, not making the metres off the runs he normally would and not providing the go-forward that was so desperately needed.
Tom Franklin 5.5/10: Another who started well but faded as the game wore on. Brought physicality at times, although had a quiet game by his usual high standards.
Joe Latta 5/10: Was used regularly as a ball carrier and made a handful of tackles, but missed a couple too, one of which resulted in a Bay of Plenty try.
Scott Manson 4/10: Played his first game for a while, so will get better, but was a bit anonymous for large parts of the game.
Liam Coltman 6.5/10: Probably Otago's best performer, snaffling a couple of turnovers, making his tackles and getting involved in the tight.
Aki Seiuli 5.5/10: Was pretty involved on both attack and defence, made a couple of good runs in the open, but was getting well-beaten by his opposite in the scrum.
Sam Anderson-Heather 6.5/10: Carried on well from Coltman, got involved on attack and defence in a performance typical of the man.
Donald Brighouse 6.5/10: Not particularly prominent on attack, but was very active defensively close in.
Jackson Hemopo 6.5/10: Tried to get involved like the other reserves, went looking for tackles and had one good run.
Naulia Dawai 7/10: Replaced Ioane early in the second half and was prominent for the entire time he was on. Added energy and was never far from the action.
Hugh Blake 5.5/10: Made a couple of mistakes, but came on at a stage when the team was chasing the game and looked to be trying to be lively.
Josh Renton 6.5/10: Had to make ten tackles and did make nine of them, which he deserves credit for considering his defensive issues earlier in the year. Passed well enough too.
Peter Breen 5/10: Did not get too many chances, only touched the ball six times and he was playing first five-eighth. Pretty tidy, but really needed to ignite the backline at the stage he came on.
