Hooker Clayton Jeftha was in dominant form as Pirates continued its winning form to beat Zingari-Richmond at Hancock Park.
He took two tightheads as the Pirates pack dominated the first 20 minutes and scored the points to win the game.
Two converted tries gave Pirates a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Jeftha had a hand in both tries through his support play and strong running.
He initiated the first by running out of his own 22m, linking with centre Marshall Suckling who gave wing Jeremy Cave a 35m run to the line.
Fullback Kieran Fowler had a sound game and captain Warren Kearney was his usual dominant self at No 8.
Zingari came back into the game after this and its uncompromising defence stopped Pirates from scoring any points in the second spell.
Lock Kerrod Spratt had a vigorous game and Scott Davidson had a solid defensive game in the midfield.
It was a messy and niggly second spell and referee Dave Kennedy ordered five players to the sin bin.
Pirates 17 (Jeremy Cave, Marshall Suckling tries; Kieran Fowler 2 conversions, penalty goal), Zingari-Richmond 0.
Halftime: Pirates 17-0.
Referee: Dave Kennedy.
