The two independent board members for the Otago Rugby Football Union will be formally appointed next week.
Two positions for independent directors are vacant under the union's constitution, with current member Dave Callon standing again while John Walker was standing down.
Board chairman Wayne Graham said the appointments committee had conducted interviews this week and had made a recommendation to the board.
He declined to name the two people recommended by the committee.
The Otago Daily Times understands the two people recommended are Callon and Dunedin lawyer Russell Cassidy.
