Clutterbuck (23) proved he was a natural leader when he captained Alhambra-Union to its second championship win in three years.
His inspirational captaincy has been significant in the two banner wins the club has had.
The previous banner win was in 1939.
His game developed a lot during the season and the number and quality of his tackling played a key role in crunch games.
He is also running the lines for an openside flanker much better than in the past.
Clutterbuck is a skilled reader of the game and has the speed to get to the breakdown and is a link player between backs and forwards.
Clutterbuck's skills have been recognised by North Otago, which has recruited him for its Heartland Championship campaign.
Points are allocated each Saturday by club rugby reporters from the Otago Daily Times and Newstalk ZB.
Clutterbuck won with 26 points and was followed by Scott McKee (Dunedin) 22, centre Matt Direen (Kaikorai) 19, halfback Lewis Hancock (Southern) 18 and Dan Joblin (Kaikorai), Mason Pomare (Zingari Richmond), Ben Pereira (Alhambra-Union), Uili Kolo'ofai (Southern) and Glenn Dickson (Pirates) 16.
