The Otago Rugby Supporters Club is still hunting for new premises and will stay at Carisbrook for now, despite games being played on the other side of town.
The club will hold a function at its clubrooms at Carisbrook on Saturday night for old and current members, but chairman Fred Cross said the club was not going into recess.
He said the club, which started in 1975, would continue to operate from its Carisbrook base and was hoping to move to new clubrooms near Forsyth Barr Stadium.
It could not afford to move to rooms in the new stadium and wanted to find a room as near to the stadium as possible.
Cross said the Dunedin City Council had been helpful about finding new clubrooms but nothing had been firmed up yet.
Ideally, once Carisbrook was sold, the club, which has just over 350 members, would then switch to new permanent premises.
If it had to, it could move to some temporary premises and move again, once permanent rooms once found, but Cross said he was not keen on moving twice.
Carisbrook was no longer ideal as members would not come back to the premises after a game at Forsyth Barr Stadium, so it was imperative to get near the new stadium.
The club did not pay rent on its rooms to the Otago Rugby Football Union but did give funds to junior rugby in Otago.
