Rugby writer Steve Hepburn targets three things the Highlanders need to do to taste victory tomorrow night.
Don't panic
The Highlanders have not been lacking opportunities. But they need to convert them. There has been some bad luck but good execution will always dampen down talk of the rub of the green. Keep calm when the chances come along and the points will come.
A rush of blood to the head
The game starts up front and, more importantly, at the set piece. The lineout has been average all season, and the Highlanders need to win their own ball more consistently and cleanly. Just get back to the basics and play a simple lineout.
Speed of sound
Forget about the sniping, forget about what the critics are saying. Halfback Aaron Smith needs to do what he does best: play the game at pace. Get the ball at the breakdown and pass it quickly, which he did so well last year.
