Josh Ioane called back to All Blacks

Otago and Highlanders first five Josh Ioane has joined the All Blacks in Hamilton as they prepare for the Tonga test this weekend.

The All Blacks said via Twitter today that Ioane had been called in, as cover for Richie Mo’unga, Stuff reported.

Mo'unga left the field with an injured shoulder in the second Bledisloe Cup against Australia test last month. 

Ioane was named in the All Blacks’ 39-man squad for the Rugby Championship, and was named on the bench in their season-opener against Argentina in Buenos Aires.

However, the 24-year-old didn’t make it on to the field during his side’s 20-16 win.
