Trotter Raymauwarrhen Sun, who is officially 12 on Friday, is due to begin another campaign at Oamaru on Sunday.

Raymauwarrhen Sun, the winner of 16 races from 72 starts, has not raced since he won over 2700m from a 50m handicap at Gore in October.

He was put aside by Oamaru trainer Warren Bartlett with a slight tear to a tendon.

"We put him out and to all intents and purposes he was retired," Bartlett said.

"But every time I looked at him he was running up and down the paddock like he wanted to come back into work."

Bartlett recommissioned Raymauwarrhen Sun in April.

"He has done plenty of work and is sound as bell. He is just a great athlete. He has won every season he has raced since he was 3."

The Sundon gelding did not race at 6.

Raymauwarrhen Sun won over 2600m from a 60m handicap fresh-up at Oamaru 12 months ago in his other start this season.

Ohoka Rebel, unbeaten in eight starts, has the Kurow Cup at Oamaru on Sunday as his next assignment.

Ohoka Rebel, trained by David and Catherine Butt, is off 10m in the $20,000 discretionary handicap over 2600m.

His most recent start was at Addington on July 18.

David Butt trained and drove Jackson Browne to win the 2005 Kurow Cup.

He drove Vanderel to win the race in 1995 from a 30m handicap.

The Butt-trained Music Man won a work-out at Rangiora on Saturday in 2.34.66 for 2000m (mobile).

Music Mac, the winner of six races, including four at Addington, has not raced since January.

Rudiani, a Kurow Cup entrant, won a 2600m work-out in 3.25.5 after starting from 30m.

The Cran Dalgety-trained Rudiani won his last start at Addington on May 23.

Matthew Williamson (18) has his first race drives at the Kurow meeting.

Williamson, a son of Phil and Bev Williamson and brother of Nathan, has been driving at trials for 18 months.

He is attached to the Oamaru stable of his father.

He drove Lyalldale Invasion (Armbro Invasion-Parfait Whiz 3yr-old trotter) to qualify for the stable at Washdye on Saturday.

His engagements on Sunday include Frodo Hest, Goodwin's Blueagle, Cipolletti and Hero Man.

The Williamson-trained Frodo Hest, winner of four races, had a third in four starts this season.

He was put aside last November.

• Born On The Tyne has joined the Weedons stable of Margo Nyhan.

The Britewell gelding was a winner at Invercargill in February when trained by Marcus Hamilton.

• Onedin Legacy, winner of 12 races including the 2006 Invercargill and Central Otago Cups, has been sold to the United States.

Onedin Legacy, trained at Oxford by Henderson Hunter who raced the Sir Vancelot gelding with his wife, Shelley, amassed $159,435 in stakes.

Marika, Ludachris, Captain Bruce, Cronadun, The Ultimate Galleon, Blyton Bromac and Sticks have been exported to Australia.

Marika has won 11 races, two this season for Waiuku trainer Michelle Wallis, and nine from the Waterford stable of Laurence Hanrahan.

Ludachris, trained by Jamie Gameson, has won his last three starts, the most recent at Forbury Park on June 27.

Captain Bruce won five races when trained by Bruce Negus.

• Red Di, who is engaged at Addington tomorrow night, recorded the fastest time among the trial winners at Washdyke on Saturday.
