Hannah set a track record for a mare at Winton with her 1.54.3 mile in the final of the Southern Belle series on Saturday.
She lowered the mark of 1.55.7 set by Bonnie Harvest 13 months earlier.
The Winton track record for all genders is 1.54.1 set by Nuclear Byrd in December 1997.
It was the sixth win in 16 starts for Hannah, a 5yr-old by Badlands Hanover from Savanah Blue Jeans, trained at Oamaru by Jeremy Douglas, who races her with his wife, Amanda, and her Oamaru breeder, Roni Lauren.
Hannah had been sent to the outside of the front line at the start after going off stride in the initial dispatch.
• Reklaw's Chance, an entrant for the Interdominion pacing series, won the Manawatu Cup at Palmerston North yesterday. The Julius Caesar gelding, trained by Wayne Higgs at Redwood, has won 10 races.
