Danz A Rook is handicapped to repeat her win of last year in the Wyndham Cup at Wyndham today.
Danz A Rook carried 59kg to win the race last year on a 54kg minimum. She has 56.5kg today.
She was having his first race for two months when she won last year with Shankar Muniandy the rider. The 9yr-old mare is resuming after a similar break today with Muniandy again in the saddle. Danz A Rook has not been successful since her win last year but she has been placed in the Winton and Wairio Cups.
The record book is against Danz A Rook as no horse has won successive Wyndham Cups since Court Belle in 1967-68, when the race was run in January.
Acquit, who ran Danz A Rook to a neck last year, is again among her rivals.
