Paramount Queen is favourite for the 2yr-old trotter section of the Harness Jewels after her New Zealand record win at Alexandra Park on Friday night.
Paramount Queen is at $4 in final field betting with the TAB, ahead of Habibti ($4.20).
Paramount Queen ran the 2200m (mobile) in 2.44.8, a second inside the mark set by Jo Anne at a Franklin meeting 11 years ago.
Paramount Queen is co-trained by Mark Purdon, who prepared Jo Anne for that win.
Lotalov, an impressive winner at Alexandra Park on Friday night, has displaced Escapee as favourite for the 3yr-old trotter section of the Harness Jewels next Saturday.
Lotalov was within 0.3sec of the New Zealand record set by You Rock this season when she recorded 3.30.3 for 2700m.
The TAB has Lotalov at $2.40, ahead of Escapee at $2.80.
Escapee trotted roughly at the start of her race on Friday night and left stride later, losing all chance.
Trainer-driver Mark Purdon said she had struck the sulky with her hind foot and over-raced.
He said he had her in a longer shafted sulky than that in which she raced two starts back.
He will now use an extra long shafted sulky.
Ideal Scott, a brilliant workout winner yesterday, is favourite for the 3yr-old colt and gelding pacer section at $2.40.
Smolda, the beaten favourite on Friday night, is a $3.50 second favourite. Smolda faded to sixth on Friday night after attempting to lead over the final 1000m.
Bettor Cover Lover is a $1.20 favourite for the 4yr-old mare section.
She made up plenty of ground for ninth in the Queen Of The Pacific at Melton on Friday night after tangling at the start.
Other Harness Jewels favourites in the TAB market are: Opulent ($3.60); Thanesan ($3); O Baby ($3); Five Card Draw ($2.20) and Terror To Love ($1.90).
Twilight Rascal has been scratched from the 4yr-old mare section allowing Bettor Get Bettor to enter the field.
