Octavian, winner of five of his eight starts and second in two others, races next at Forbury Park on Thursday night.

The 4yr-old in the Woodend Beach stable of Greg and Nina Hope is in a 3-6 win free-for-all over 2200m (mobile) on Thursday.

The In The Pocket-Maikona gelding began racing just over four months ago. He has won his last three starts, all at Addington.

Octavian had also been entered for the $50,000 Rangiora Classic, a handicap at Rangiora on Sunday.

"We felt he was a bit close in the handicap to top horses at Rangiora," Nina Hope said.

Baileys Dream, Bettor's Strike and Power Of Tara are off 15m.

• Biella Star has been sold out of the stable of Robbie Holmes to Perth.

The Mattuity gelding will join the stable of Bob Mellsop.

Biella Star numbered the 2008 Wyndham and Winton Cups among his seven wins.

• Frank Cooney has retained the drive of Paradise City in the $170,000 final of the Sires' Stakes series for 2yr-old fillies at Alexandra Park on Friday night.

Cooney drove Paradise City to a last-start win.

Jamie Keast drove Paradise City to win the Caduceus Club Classic on April 9 when Cooney was in Christchurch for the New Zealand Derby.

Trainer Barry Ward was dismayed to hear Paradise City had drawn 13.

He was a little relieved to hear well-performed rival Collectable had drawn 8 (the outside of the front line) and Bettor Cover Lover, 10.

"It could be a very interesting race," Ward said.

The West Melton trainer is staying with Cooney at Henderson.

Cooney drove One Dream to win the event in 2006.

• Diedre's Flash, now trained by Tony Herlihy, resumes in the Great Northern Trotting Derby on Friday night.

Diedre's Flash, who has not raced for four months, won the $73,000 Sales series race at Addington as a 2yr-old when trained by Phil Williamson.

Armbro Winger is back in the Westwood Beach stable of Graeme Anderson and Amber Hoff-man.

Armbro Winger gained a third from two starts for Foxton trainer Peter Scaife.

Jaspers Blue Jean is now trained at Forbury Park by Eion Latimer. Jaspers Blue Jean won two races for Fernside trainer Ian Cameron.
